Missouri Milk Board shuts down family-owned Whole Milk Dairy

I read with great sadness and disgust the report concerning Morningland Dairy. This is a small family owned dairy that produces raw milk cheeses, among other products. Because of FDA regulations, this dairy supplied families through a private member association.

This is a vehicle for companies or associations to join together, knowing all risks and assuming responsibility for such risks as free people who are of age to make that type of committment. In common language, the purchasers knew that they were purchasing cheese made from raw milk. Why would someone do that? There are well-documented studies that show that raw milk has enzymes and nutrients that enhance the human immune system. It is also well-documented that less than .000002 percent of the 76 million people who contract a food-borne illness in the United States each year are negatively affected by raw milk products. (CDC figures 2003-2006) This seems to be a reletively minor risk associated with consuming raw milk and its products.

However, the powerful Missouri Milk Board and the attorney generals office of Missouri have shut down this family friendly dairy. In fact, to date, this family has lost approx $450,000.00 in fighting their legal battles. As Americans, we have the right to decide what is the best food for ourselves and our children.

Please contact your representatives in your state and in Washington DC and ask them to preserve your health freedom. To see what legislation is pending at the national level, please go to http://www.codexfund.com and become informed. Please consider donating to this tax exempt organization. Please pray for the Dixon family. Their dairy and their customers are under attack from their state government.

Until next time,
